The poem clearly alludes to the Labdacid myth, and more particularly to Sophocles’ Oedipus Tyrannus; see e.g.

line 3: ‘Oedipus interrogates the shepherd’ (ο Οιδίπους ανακρίνει το βοσκό παντού)

line 5:  ‘dead Laius lies in wait’ (παραφυλάει στο σταυροδρόμι ο Λάιος ο νεκρός)
